A Butterfly's Dream makes the player a real butterfly that flies between flowers and simply fulfills its own purpose. This simulator has a small number of tasks, and a special mode will allow you to take free control of the butterfly and circle around vast locations, exploring them and interacting with the environment. There are no objectives or opponents in the gameplay, just a relaxing third-person flight experience.

The user becomes a butterfly in a vibrant and stylized world. The environment is designed in the style of classical Chinese landscape painting. A meditative soundtrack and sounds of nature play in the background, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in an adventure without obstacles or challenges. The gamer can take pictures of landscapes and colorful views of the living environment.

There is an additional mission – to photograph more than 100 objects hidden behind various objects or located in hard-to-reach places. If the user manages to do this, he will open a side bonus and location. Master Chuang Tzu will help you reflect on the nature of reality and the important aspects of the life of each butterfly and other creatures. The player is able to explore a vast area, moving through the sky, between trees in the forest, over rivers and lakes, or reaching cliffs and hilltops.
