A Plague Tale: Requiem continues the adventures of Hugo and Amicia. This is a sequel to the game APT: Innocence. The genre and setting remain the same. This is an action-adventure game with stealth elements and a third-person view, using the ambiance of the dark European Middle Ages. The sequel still has fantasy elements. Here, realistically depicted medieval life is combined with the manifestation of the supernatural and magical phenomena. The sequel, in addition to improved graphics, boasts additional features. The arsenal of weapons, superhuman abilities and tactical tools has been greatly expanded. Players can sneak past enemies, sneak attack enemies, or cause a bloodbath in new locations.

Like the first game, A Plague Tale: Requiem is full of violent scenes. In some places it resembles horror. The plot continues some time after the end of the original. By the beginning of the new story, the protagonists have matured. The brother and sister managed to escape the persecution of the Inquisition. They settled in the south, far from the plague, and were even able to curb the young man’s abilities, at the same time starting a new life. But one day the family curse made itself felt again, and the streets were again filled with hordes of rats. As a result, the girl and her relative had to flee once again. Now they are looking for a distant island. According to the prophecy, there is something there that will save Hugo.
