Age of Wonders 3 is a continuation of the cult strategy series, which at one time won many awards. Here, in addition to strategic ones, there are also role-playing elements that are harmoniously combined in the overall gameplay concept. The plot tells of the confrontation between the Imperial Commonwealth and the alliance of elves (dark and forest). As the gameplay progresses, players, having previously chosen a race, will have to move around the world, interact with other units, participate in battles and capture cities.

• People strive for constant improvement by studying new sciences and inventing technologies
  High elves have a special connection with nature and are vulnerable to poisons in battle. Presented as griffin riders
• Dwarves live in mountains and caves. See well in the dark and are immune to poison
• Goblins – In addition to caves, they live in swamps. Also protected from poison, rides on goblin bugs
• Orcs do not like to sit idle, because out of boredom they can begin to destroy their own kind. They live in wastelands, do not like to be in volcanic landscapes
• The Draconids – after people came to power, were under threat of extinction. They have accelerated regeneration. They live in wastelands and volcanic landscapes.

For each race there is a distribution into classes. A total of 7 classes are available, in particular sorcerer, theocrat, technocrat, military leader and others. Elaboration of the system of relations between the parties allows one to ignore constant military clashes while concluding peace agreements. As for the battles themselves, they are no longer so straightforward. Fighters can flank and also combine the special skills of each unit to make attacks more destructive. The skill leveling system allows you to learn more complex skills and behavioral mechanics for units, which allows you to gain an advantage in battle.
