Alexander is an RTS game that includes a single-player campaign, multiplayer mode and free matches. The gameplay offers classic mechanics for the genre. During the passage you will have to extract resources, construct military, residential and industrial buildings, improve and create troops. There are several levels of artificial intelligence mastery, which determines its success in economic and military terms.

The Alexander strategy includes the following resources: iron, wood, stone, gold and provisions. Each material is used in different quantities for construction, creating peasants and armies. Resources are mined by residents, purchased or exchanged on the market. To increase the morale and efficiency of soldiers, the user can create squads and place different warriors there. There are 3 types of formations, such as defensive, classic and aggressive.

The campaign mode includes 4 different scenarios that tell the story of each faction. The gamer can take control of Macedonia, Persia, India or Egypt. Each state has its own combat units, structures and their appearance. Factions have 3 powerful characters, but only one can be used in a match. Each hero has three types of powerful abilities that improve as they gain experience points.
