Alien Nations combines city building simulation and real-time strategy with indirect control. This is the first part of the series. Due to the fault of the Space Storks, three different peoples ended up on the same planet. These races began to fight among themselves. Each side dreams of becoming the master of the entire celestial body.

In the official Russian localization the game is called “The Lost World”. The faction names are also different in the translated version. The humanoid insects Sajiki, obsessed with cigars and the idea of ​​​​building a Master Incubator, became Ants. Pimmons mushroom schnapps lovers have turned into Elves. And the warlike women of Amazons with a matriarchal structure became Dryads.

The gameplay is similar to the early parts of the Settlers franchise. Here you need to extract resources, build buildings, provide workers with everything they need, create production chains, establish logistics, and acquire an army. Besides war, there is trade and diplomacy. You can only give general orders to your wards. Creatures cannot be controlled directly. This project features isometric graphics. The engine allows units to slightly change the landscape. Creatures that follow the same route for a long time leave marks on the surface and eventually trample the roads. Such paths increase the speed of movement.
