AMID EVIL – a dynamic first-person shooter, created according to all the canons of classic projects in this genre. The environment around the main character was created using elements of dark fantasy; most of the locations are gloomy arenas with various kinds of obstacles, which can be used as improvised shelters from enemy shells.

The single-player campaign supports the option of playing with a gamepad as the main and only input device, and consists of 7 episodes that differ in the set of aggressive monsters. The modern Unreal Engine 4 is responsible for the quality of the visuals. This made it possible to add high-resolution textures, elaborate animations with a large number of variations, and realistic physics with ballistics. Also, the developers have added support for ray tracing.

A special feature of the stages is their nonlinear construction, which provides many options for passing the same moment. The fantasy weapon used by the protagonist, a heretic who was caught and sent on this journey as punishment to destroy evil spirits, uses the souls of defeated creatures as cartridges.
