In a shooter Arcade Squad the main character finds himself in outer space and moves between the original planets, controlling a futuristic combat fighter. Control of a military vehicle is presented in an arcade style. On the way, the player will have to fight with enemy equipment, destroy spaceships or static guns. Access to improvements and new types of weapons is gradually opening up.

The campaign consists of 15 sequential levels, and the garage includes 6 unique starships with different parameters, special features and weapons. The central character fights opponents alone. Each level begins with flying out of an outpost, and battles take place far from it. After completing the quest, you can upgrade the ship or buy a new one, as well as change the appearance using several hull colors.

During the battle, the gamer is able to maneuver and attack with several types of fire. Sometimes temporary bonuses appear that briefly improve some parameters. 6 spaceships have their own appearance and different upgrade elements. Gradually, the user will need to free the galaxy from the hostile faction, destroying the bosses and their minions. Battles are accompanied by constant action and clashes with special opponents.
