Astral Ascent puts four heroes under the player's control, each of whom has unique abilities. All of them are locked in a kind of prison world, the so-called Garden. This place is guarded by 12 powerful opponents, represented by the signs of the Zodiac. Character skills are unlocked gradually; they can not only be improved, but also combined to obtain enhanced versions of spells. The speed of pumping and the number of bonuses received depends on how quickly and efficiently the gamer overcomes the levels.

There will be 4 different heroes performing Astral Ascension throughout the story:

• Ayla. A member of the assassin's guild, left alone. Fast and powerful attacks can eliminate the enemy so quickly that he does not have time to react.
• Kieran. A strong character with animal power. He fights mainly with his bare hands, which does not in any way affect the effectiveness of the attack.
• Callie. A fearless girl who wields magic stones. Defense against it is practically powerless, and opponents are simply torn apart from the inside.
• Octave. An apprentice of a sorceress who wields unusual pistols or more powerful weapons. It works on the principle of a firearm, but uses ether clots instead of projectiles.

The world of the project was worked out manually, which made it more alive and unique. Drawing of details and frame-by-frame animation make it even more exciting. If the player finds the solo adventure boring or difficult, there is the option of co-op in local mode or online. High replay value is achieved by a voluminous plot that will not be fully revealed the first time.
