Action game Asylum of the Dead takes place in 1994. The protagonist is a government agent sent to investigate an abandoned hospital. This place has a bad reputation because experiments were conducted there to bring the dead back to life. When the locals raised the alarm, a police detachment headed to the hospital – and did not return. After this, the main character was called to solve the riddle, who was unpleasantly surprised to find real zombies in the abandoned corridors. Now his goal is to get out himself and prevent the impending zombie apocalypse.

To successfully survive in a nightmare structure, users have access to:

• Different types of firearms and melee weapons. Each item has its own advantages and disadvantages, which must be taken into account if the user wants to save the character's life. Thus, shotguns have increased damage and can easily destroy the undead, but they take a long time to reload. Small-caliber pistols, on the contrary, cause little damage and do not cause difficulties with reloading and finding cartridges.
• It should be borne in mind that zombies are smart. When a gamer walks past bloody corpses, one of them may stand up and attack. Because of this, it is vital to have a loaded cannon or a hefty ax on hand.
• Health and stamina also play a big role in Asylum of the Dead. They can be upgraded, allowing you to withstand more damage and carry more items.
