Main character Axiom Verge Randomizer Beta awakens in a mysterious and alien world after a failed experiment in his scientific laboratory. He doesn’t understand where he ended up, in the distant future or not on his planet. He will need to find out if this is reality and not a simulation of the virtual world. As he travels, he reveals his own role in this place, giving access to numerous and brutal weapons.

As gameplay progresses, the central character gains access to items, equipment, and abilities. Each skill, piece of equipment or weapon has its own parameters and characteristics. To find every item, you will need to use your wits and carefully explore your surroundings. Along the way, the main character will encounter bizarre biomechanical structures and deadly traps.

There is a Randomizer mode with 3 difficulty levels, where the journey is created randomly. To pass the location, you need to get to a certain object, pre-provided by the plot. To achieve goals, the gamer is able to come up with his own solutions. The view takes place from the side, and the world is two-dimensional, filled with traps and enemies. You have to fight huge bosses and hostile creatures to survive.
