The game world is based on Europe during the monarchy. The eternal confrontation between three large aristocratic houses will be an excellent opportunity to profit from someone else’s confrontation. The main character leads a team of mercenaries who are ready to do any dirty work for the appropriate payment. Various settlements and opponents in the open world will regularly appear randomly, so even walking along a familiar route, it is not a fact that the squad will not encounter angry orcs or stumble upon a village that needs help. In some places, the player can hire new soldiers or enter into a contract to protect the territory.

Despite such a variety of plot twists and a huge number of missions that will last for many hours, Battle Brothers remains single-player. We can say that this is a kind of complex sandbox, where the player is required to take active actions and rethink tactics.
