Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 is a large-scale strategy game inspired by the board game. The project is a direct continuation of the story of the first part. Changes were made to the gameplay, graphics, physics and character behavior were improved, new weapons and equipment were added, and the territories were expanded. There are 12 factions in the game world, each of them has certain abilities, traditions and history. The player has access to a single story campaign and multiplayer.

The gamer's military fleet must destroy all enemies in its path. The plot develops in cut scenes that are broadcast between battles. During the campaign, gamers will get to know the trilogy. In each part, the project introduces a new race and their problems. After a certain number of completed missions, a reward becomes available to the hero, which can be used to improve the ship. However, upgrades have little effect on superiority in battle; the main factor is strategy, because even the most powerful ship can be defeated with the right approach.

The expanses of the galaxy in Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 are impressive in their size. Here the hero can freely travel across the vastness of the universe, meet new characters and places. An important component of the gameplay is the multiplayer mode, where heroes can fight in various locations in classic modes.
