Becastled invites the user to immerse themselves in the fascinating process of building a kingdom and protecting it from the forces of evil. The player will become the leader of the Sunborn people. During daylight hours, there is an opportunity to improve the kingdom, because after sunset the representatives of the opposing side attack. Enemy fighters pursue the main goal – to completely capture the location.

In Becastled, you can start by creating a map according to your personal preferences. The number of basic settings is limited, but they are enough to adjust the characteristics. It's worth noting that there is no specific storyline or specific quests that players need to complete. Key tasks include increasing territory, extracting resources, constructing facilities, and developing the army. Throughout the day, characters perform household tasks in order to fall asleep completely in the dark. At night, soldiers and guard towers are awake, constantly repelling attacks from dark warriors.

The army is replenished by transforming peasants. The number of representatives of this class is restored automatically after some time. Thanks to this feature, the gamer can pay maximum attention to strategy and tactics. However, it is important to provide the peasantry with the necessary things so that the local residents are happy and well-fed.
