Betrayal in Antara takes you to the fictional fantasy world of the Antara Empire. Just ten years ago, it was an incredibly strong kingdom with a professional army and economy and rapidly growing cities. Representatives of various races live here: people, elves, gnomes and others. All previous achievements are reduced to zero when civil war and political intrigues begin, which destroyed the state, splitting it into several small principalities. They are at enmity with each other and sow death across the once calm lands. The main character volunteered to stop the endless civil conflict, eradicate crime and corruption of unprecedented proportions.

At the very beginning of the passage, you can choose its class:

• wizard – has virtually no defense or attack, but can cast powerful spells;
• warrior – wears heavy armor and weapons, shows himself ideally at close range, and is able to withstand a lot of damage;
• The robber is a specialist in ranged weapons, and in melee weapons he relies on light blades and the speed of strikes.

After Betrayal in Antara, you can customize your character's appearance and gender. Then you can freely go on a free journey through the open virtual world. The gamer regularly encounters various kinds of mobs on his way – from ordinary opponents to bosses. All fights take place in a step-by-step mode with an isometric camera. By completing main and secondary tasks, as well as winning battles, the protagonist receives gold and experience points. The first is important to spend on consumables, weapons and armor. The latter allow you to upgrade the hero’s characteristics and abilities.
