Big Boy Boxing is an arcade boxing simulator. The indie project has two-dimensional graphics in the style of pixel art and elaborate animation in the spirit of old cartoons. The camera is located behind the fighter. At the same time, the hero himself is depicted as translucent so that the player can see the opponent. Only the character's boxing gloves are clearly visible. The game is dedicated to boss battles. It has a story campaign with 15 leaders. Each athlete has their own backstory and unique attack patterns. Opponents change their behavior depending on the amount of health remaining. The story follows the adventures of a failed athlete who dreams of returning to his old glory days.

Big Boy Boxing can be called the spiritual successor to the games in the Punch-Out series. The gameplay is based on timing. Here you need to avoid the enemy’s blows in time, moving the boxer to the left or right. It is also necessary to catch the right moment to launch a counterattack. This video game has its own characteristics. As the game progresses, the gamer gains access to new abilities, such as slowing down time or healing. There are several characters to choose from. You can change their super attacks, perks and skins. Standard fights in the ring are diluted with dialogues, rematches, and mini-games. This title does not pretend to be real. Here rivals can change the size of their bodies, regenerate, fly, and so on.
