An extremely radical religious sect called the Montids is trying to challenge her. Crazy fanatics believe in the evolution of the human species through the implementation of body modification using electronic implants.

Previously, according to the BioForge synopsis, members of the Reticulum on their ship “Ambassadoria” discovered an alien ship with the remains of representatives of an unidentified race. The creatures were in special capsules in a state of suspended animation. When people brought the body of one of the aliens for study, he suddenly came to life and began to destroy everything around him. The crew leader manages to enter important information into the black box. The sectarians manage to receive a signal about the accident and pick up the logbook. Based on the information received, they find the homeland of origin of the unknown guests, who are representatives of the once extinct race of Fixes. They find a moon, which has been given the name Daedalus.

Having gained access to the ancient technologies of an advanced civilization, the Montids began sending people there to conduct experiments. The results did not live up to expectations. The test subjects usually died or became crazy. The main character's name is Lex, he is a cyborg. The character goes in search of his memories and research of what happened.
