Bird and Beast Fantasy – an indie video game made in the RPG genre. It is dedicated to the history of the Chinese Song Dynasty, which ruled the Celestial Empire from the 10th to the 13th century. There is also a tribute to popular Chinese franchises based on the history and folklore of this ancient state. The essence of Bird and Beast Fantasy is this – the gamer controls a treasure hunter who regularly descends into dungeons in search of valuable artifacts. Each trip is generated anew, offering new sets of opponents and bonuses. But it would be a mistake to think that the next journey will be easy. Any enemy is capable of causing considerable damage to an unprepared character, which encourages you to carefully think through your strategy and keep your ears open.

The weapons here are varied. They are represented not only by swords, axes, crossbows and other medieval instruments of war – the player can also get firearms. Each item has features that determine the style of playthrough. For example, pistols cause increased damage at a distance, but require shells. At the same time, melee weapons can be used much more often, but the character is more vulnerable in close combat. The gamer can also create his own artifacts using materials found during the campaign. The rarer and more expensive the resource, the more powerful and effective the item will be.
