Blackwind tells about the adventures of James Hawkins. This is the name of the teenager in experimental power armor. This armor has built-in artificial intelligence. The plot begins with an attack by a race of alien monsters called Raxons on the mining colony “Medusa-42”. The Pandora starship, which the protagonist was on board, went out of control and crashed onto the planet during an alien attack. The hero needs to repel these aliens and at the same time find his father, the inventor. The main character often communicates with the AI. He will have to visit laboratories, mountains, forests and other locations. They have partially destructible environments. The game itself is an action game with a top view. It has elements of slasher, shooter and RPG.

The experimental armored suit is reminiscent of humanoid robots from anime. It allows you to run, jump, shoot lasers and missiles in different directions, fight in close combat, combining light and heavy attacks, and use special skills. It can be upgraded by learning new skills in the skill tree. Pumping is carried out at control points using collected spheres. This mech is also equipped with a drone that can get into hard-to-reach places. In single player mode, the user controls both the armor and the drone. The Blackwind project also has local multiplayer, allowing two people to play on one computer. In it, users distribute responsibilities among themselves: one gamer pilots the armor, and the second controls the UAV. The campaign consists of partially non-linear levels. In them, in addition to battles with hordes of enemies, you need to jump on platforms and solve riddles.
