Blasphemous 2 – A 2D side-scrolling metroidvania adventure game that continues the story of the Penitent, a lone survivor of a massacre seeking to end the curse of a fallen world. The story takes place in the twisted land of Cvstodia, where a mysterious force called the Miracle bestows blessings and punishments upon the inhabitants, often in the form of grotesque deformities and suffering.

The project has a rich and complex history, inspired by Spanish folklore and Catholicism, which is revealed through dialogue, descriptions of objects and plot moves. The user will have to explore a huge non-linear world filled with secrets, hidden passages and optional areas. Along the way, the user will encounter various enemies and bosses, each of which has its own unique abilities and weaknesses.

Blasphemous 2's combat system is fast-paced and skill-based, requiring precise timing and execution. The gamer can use various weapons, each of which has its own set of moves and special attacks, as well as relics, rosaries, prayers and sword hearts, which provide various passive and active effects. The user can also customize his gaming style by choosing different skill trees that improve his attributes and abilities. The sequel aims to improve upon the original game, making it a truer Metroidvania with smoother gameplay, a deeper story, and a new weapon system.
