BloodNet takes the player into a futuristic world with future technologies, intersecting with bloody stories about vampires and gothic. The main character is Rance Stark, who has to destroy the powerful vampire Abraham Van Helsing, who is trying to take over the world. Stark was previously infected by a vampire, but his built-in computer intelligence is able to fight the virus and prevent him from becoming a monster.

The antagonist also has another name – Dracula. He is the one trying to take over the planet. The central character uses computer technology to complete tasks and pursue his own goal. The interface displays a menu where additional options are available, such as commands and a standard item. As you progress, Rance will participate in dialogues and learn useful information, fight monsters and ordinary people. The gamer is able to freely travel through open locations and explore them, or interact with minor characters.

A metropolis set in the future houses megacorporations, high-tech gadgets, cybernetics and dark crimes. The main character uses the services of hackers, mercenaries, bandits and other people to help fight vampires. Completing quests opens up access to greater opportunities and visiting new locations on the territory. The ward has an inventory with useful things like weapons, equipment and gadgets.
