IN Book of Shadows (game) there are 2 main characters. The girl wears revealing leather clothes, prefers dark colors, and deals damage to enemies with a steel sword. The man wears a white robe and uses a magic staff. The protagonist has one task – to find and destroy the Night Wanderer. For many years these heroes were at enmity with each other. Before you get to the boss, you have to destroy hundreds of monsters. The single player campaign consists of 9 missions. The character can be improved. In the finals, the fighter will have a set of 20 abilities.

Battles in Book of Shadows take place from a top-down view. The user can see not only the entire room, but also observe what is happening in the neighboring rooms. The blue scale is responsible for mana. Each spell used reduces it. The red stripe indicates your health. In the lower left corner there are all the character’s abilities, indicated by icons (heal, temporarily move quickly, strike with a fiery hand, create a whirlwind, launch fire spheres, become invisible, etc.). Mission goals change (find the red key, find 2 books). The appearance of opponents is constantly changing. These can be half-naked men with battle axes, fighters in purple suits with swords and shields. Locations also change each other. The hero will explore castles with stone walls and floors, and visit the streets. Up to 20 enemies will attack the protagonist at the same time.
