It was covered by a strong tsunami, and the settlements were crushed by the limbs of monsters who did not even notice the presence of small parasites. But nature decided to give people a chance. Strange crystals have washed up on the surface, which provide unique abilities and even the ability to move back the shoreline to find unique relics and useful items washed ashore. To prevent settlements from being washed away, you will need to build protective walls and try to provide yourself with resources that will no longer arrive from the mainland.
