Broken Age unites two dissimilar heroes from different worlds, whose destinies intersect at an unexpected moment. The story tells of a girl, Vella, who fights the monster Mog Chotra. After all, residents are obliged to sacrifice girls to the cunning enemy. The enemy keeps many secrets, one of which is the Basinostra ship, located inside the monster. Shay is a survivor on board the ship. During the day, he is raised by a programmed version of his mother, Hope, who worries about her child. At night, the program switches to the father, who teaches his son everything. There are also robots on board. One day the guy notices a lot of victims whom he wants to help. It is at this moment that the goals of the heroes begin to coincide.

The characters will not be able to interact, because they are in different spaces, but they are allowed to switch between them. In Broken Age you need to explore places and communicate with different people and entities. By building dialogues with them, you can choose answer options while moving along the storyline. Using the items found, combinations will be made. By exploring and using objects, small puzzles appear in places.

While completing the quest, the protagonists will be in the following locations:

• Loruna is an empire where the development of technology is at a high level.
• Shelmound is a town located near the forest, rich in fishermen. This is where people worship the monster.
• Meriloft is a city on the clouds, home to huge birds and the people who watch over them.
• Saccharin is a village where buns are baked. Warriors used to live here. The buildings themselves resemble sugar.
• Temple of the Blind God – revealed to be a spaceship with a sleeping pilot.
