Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth – it’s the 20th century, the location of the main character is the Arkham mental hospital, the gameplay, however, begins long before that, explaining to the gamer what happened to the man and what events brought him to the point where he went crazy. This is a dark game with horror elements, as well as horror themes written by Lovecraft.

Jack Walters is a detective who responds to a call: a man in an occult house says that he will only talk to him. Jack does not have time to start a dialogue, since all living people scratch strange symbols on themselves, drink poison and die – group suicide. These people had been following Walters for many years, as evidenced by photographs and newspaper clippings. The detective goes down to the basement, where he finds many corpses.

After this, the hero of Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth is moved 7 years forward, where he says that he experienced amnesia, and his colleagues, who found his body in that strange house, decided that he had gone crazy. The employees do not believe that he saw a creature beyond human reason that was freed thanks to him. The phone rings just as Jack is writing in his diary. This is a proposal regarding work – whether the main character will agree to return to his activities is another question.

The character has an unstable psyche after experiencing events in an occult house and staying in a mental hospital, therefore in dangerous situations, when seeing monsters and murders, the hero may experience panic, his vision becomes unfocused, he may see non-existent things, tremble, but the worst thing is to commit suicide, however, to do this, you must have a loaded pistol in your hands.
