Anvil of Dawn Returns users in the era of classically projects, where the main emphasis was placed on game mechanics and plot. Events unfold in a fictional world called Tempest, which was almost completely destroyed due to the attack of dark forces. The ruins remained from the previous civilization, and now five heroes (for one of them will play the user) are sent to perform a special mission. Their task is to get into the enemy’s territory, to find out the nature of the emergence of force, which allowed such destruction and try to destroy the ruler of dark power. In total, 5 characters are given to choose from. After choosing the chosen one, four others will act as a NPC, and it will be possible to interact with them in the future. For all units, the distribution of indicators according to the basic characteristics (strength, energy, dexterity and power) is assumed. After the choice is made, the system transfers the user to the active stage of gameplay.

The gameplay in Anvil of Dawn is to move in labyrinths, where it is enough for the player to choose the direction of movement, based on a mini-card. The main part of the gameplay lies in the battle with opponents in different parts of this labyrinth itself, as well as the execution of quests. They, in turn, can be obtained during interaction with third -party characters. At the same time, all replicas are voiced, and also displayed in text form. At the same time, the process of transition from one location to another is accompanied by cat-scenes with replacing animations.

As for the combat system, two basic elements are used here – the possession of cold weapons and the use of spells. For applying the enemy of damage to a particular type of attack, the hero receives combat experience. It can be used to improve the skills of owning cold weapons, or unlocking a new magical ability. At the same time, during the fight, the enemy does not constantly attack, and after each attack it passes for a few seconds. This time can be used for your own attack, quickly eliminating the threat.
