Castlevania: Symphony of the Night considers the founder of the genre Methodvania and is an excellent example of the emergence of a certain trend in games. The user will have to go through dark dungeons, destroying monsters and developing their protagonist. There are 4 endings in total, one of which is bad and greatly shortens the passage.

Four years after his crushing victory over Dracula, Richter disappears. No one can figure out where the hero could have disappeared to, but when Castlevania suddenly appears out of the fog, many begin to suspect that one of the man's former loyal servants is involved. Maria, a sorceress girl who was previously saved by the man, goes there to pull out her former savior and thereby repay an unspoken debt. Another guy named Alucard also goes there.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night Character Forms:

• Wolf – allows you to squeeze through narrow passages, runs very fast, although does not deal too much damage, can receive talents that make it more useful in combat
• Bat – small and agile, needed to climb high ledges or fly past dangers and avoid clashes with opponents to save energy
• Fog – makes the protagonist invulnerable for a certain period, gives a chance to safely pass through hordes of enemies with minimal health and slip through the bars

The character is also able to tame and use some types of creatures for his own benefit. They will give him additional damage or strengthen attacks, allow him to quickly restore his HP level. They are completely invulnerable to opponents and are capable of development, receiving experience points when the hero kills opponents or when they kill them themselves.
