Actions in Celeste occur in and around Mount Celeste. She has a mysterious power, which the main character, an ordinary girl Madeline, must understand. She will have to climb to the top of the mountain, along the way meeting many interesting places, including a forgotten entire city, the Heavenly Resort hotel and much more. On her way, she meets other characters: an old woman who lives right on the mountain, a couple of photographers who came to do their favorite thing, and the ghost of an administrator living in the hotel. To achieve her goal, Madeline will have to overcome difficulties, in addition to her own internal demons.

The gameplay is designed for high precision in controlling the hero. The user needs to control the character correctly, use all her skills and abilities, make dashes, climb straight up walls, and also avoid traps while making their way through the levels. You will only have one jump before you touch the ground, so you need to think carefully about each move you make. In order to replenish your dashes directly in the air, you need to go through a green crystal. Also, at later levels you will have other bonuses that can help you move your character up, that is, to the top. In order to collect as many points as possible, they will help in improving the hero, you need to collect strawberries.
