Chalkship stands out from similar games with its atypical visual style. The graphics combine 2D and 3D. All 2D objects were hand drawn with chalk. They were then digitized and transferred to the Phoesion engine. The three-dimensional ones here are mostly just obstacles. They are represented by pencils, blades and other office supplies. All together it resembles a child’s drawing come to life, on which various objects have been placed on top. The indie title itself is a casual arcade game with a side view. Its plot is as follows. The hero communicated peacefully with the toy bears. Everything was fine until a black hole appeared and sucked them all into another dimension.

In Chalkship, players are given control of a cartoon rocket with eyes. Her facial expression is constantly changing. The protagonist flies through bizarre worlds and saves teddy bears. The video game consists of 10 levels. To complete a stage you just need to get to the end without dying. You can collect bears along the way and receive achievements as a reward, but this is not necessary. Various enemies, traps and obstacles prevent you from reaching the exit from the location. The hero moves by inertia. It is controlled via a keyboard or gamepad. The gameplay is based on dodging dangerous objects and solving puzzles. During the passage, a rocket launcher opens. With its help you can blow up some elements of the environment.
