Chimeras: What Wishes May Come is the emotional journey of Derek Pierce as he blames himself for the accident that left Christina unconscious in the hospital. He dreams that his wife will awaken and find happiness again. However, over time, Derek will learn a valuable lesson, since he needs to be vigilant in his desires. At night, a mysterious creature prevents Pierce from going to the hospital and gives him a lucrative offer to rectify the situation.

The main character begins a race against time, trying to understand where this creature came from and what he really needs. Derek will have to solve puzzles while moving through mysterious and abandoned locations. Along the way, he will face deception and personal sacrifice while trying to change the situation with his wife. On his journey, he will encounter paranormal phenomena and try to stay alive, running away from the dangers and ghosts of the past.

In the gameplay, the gamer will need to explore the environment, observing the territory from a first-person view. There are dozens of objects and other interactive objects scattered throughout the locations that help open passages or reach necessary points. The character has an inventory where the obtained items are stored. Items can be examined to find hidden messages, used or combined with each other.
