Close Combat: Modern Tactics – another part of a large series of real-time military simulators. Here, unlike some projects, the emphasis is on the psychological component of each character participating in the hostilities, as well as on the historical accuracy of the events described. Thus, each subordinate and squad member is of particular importance to the gamer, and the success of completing the task will depend on the coherence of actions and the tactics themselves. At the same time, here you can simulate both single battles and team battles, where there will be up to 5 participants on each side.

One of the main features of Close Combat: Modern Tactics is that the user can choose the time era in which the battles take place. This could be US territory during the Civil War, or the streets of Iraq in the 20th century. Somehow, this changes the approach to war due to the use of different types of equipment. When you select a certain category of units under your control (infantry, military equipment or support vehicles), characteristics appear on the screen next to the icons, including the weapons of the soldiers, the caliber of guns and tanks, etc. The control principle is quite simple and does not differ from other projects in a similar genre. It is enough to select a point on the map and send a squad there so that they can occupy the territory and prepare for the attack. Each arena is a square with different sizes, up to 4 kilometers on each side. A total of 25 scenarios are presented here, where real or close to real events are recreated. Therefore, you can feel like a real commander and independently decide the outcome of major battles.
