Close Combat: The Bloody First is the next part of the series and invites players to master new tactical gameplay mechanics. World War II campaigns in Tunisia, Sicily and Normandy will be played out here. The first infantry division will be under command and will go to designated locations to conduct operations and participate in battles. There are a total of 11 operations and 36 battles, offering different game situations and requiring tactical variability. At the same time, simply sending a detachment to enemy positions will not work – this will lead to a quick loss of personnel and defeat. Therefore, you should carefully analyze the situation in order to find a way out of difficult situations.

Before each operation in Close Combat: The Bloody First, it will be possible to change the personnel, adding new fighters or changing classes, thereby focusing on a specific aspect. For example, if there are more shooters in a group, this will allow for long-range combat. But at the same time, it is worth taking care of the presence of grenade launchers, because without them it will be impossible to cope with enemy armored vehicles. By the way, equipment (especially tanks) can also be used. It will be pinned in the “support” section, and when you hover over the icon you will be able to see all the characteristics of the machines. There are 12 units in the main squad, and 3 more are in the same support. By giving positioning orders before battle, you can set fighters to ambush mode in order to attack when opponents are at the closest possible distance. To make it easier to deploy troops, a mini-map is available in the corner of the screen, where all the characters and equipment are displayed.
