Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars takes the player to 2047, when the Third Tiberium War takes place between the Brotherhood of Nod and the Global Defense Initiative. Military events only escalate over time, and when the GOI attacks the Brotherhood, trying to gain final victory, the extraterrestrial race of Skrynn intervenes in the conflict. Now the war is going in a different direction and is gaining even worse momentum for the planet.

The user will play the role of commander in chief. Watching what is happening from above, you will have to give orders to your charges and control the soldiers. Units and buildings are divided into categories. The interface displays all interactive elements and useful resource counters. The gamer will use the strength of infantry, ground and air equipment. At the start of the match, you will need to equip your base and make improvements. The task is to destroy the opponent's base. Defense towers will help in defense. As before, the mobile assembly workshop is the central platform for base construction.

The single-player campaign includes 38 missions with 3 different scenarios. The user is able to control any side of the conflict. Each faction has its own buildings, warriors and tasks in the war. Key plot points are shown through cutscenes. The screen campaign opens after completing the GDI and Brotherhood scenarios. The gameplay supports multiplayer matches, both over a local network and over the Internet.
