Conflict Zone – a real-time strategy video game that tells about a fictional military conflict in 2011. The action takes place in an alternative reality on the territory of post-Soviet states, where some large military organizations called GHOST and International Corps For Peace have come together in a fight. These large corporations are engaged in providing their mercenaries and equipment in wars, naturally, for a good fee.

However, the interests of the parties in Conflict Zone clearly did not converge and now they are fighting for the right to remain the only cell in the market for the provision of specific services. The gamer is offered to go through two single-player campaigns for each of the factions. Each has a set of unique units and equipment, including armored personnel carriers, tanks, helicopters and others. The campaign, according to the tradition of the genre, is divided into several dozen missions, in each of which it is necessary to destroy all enemy troops.

The strategy does not allow the user to do such fairly standard things for the genre as building a base or extracting resources. Attention is focused exclusively on battles in which the player has several types of troops. Before the start of the mission, he is given a certain number of units, which he must use to finish the job – reinforcements are often not expected, and therefore all actions must be tactically competent.
