Cossacks 3 – continuation of the legendary series of strategy games. In the third part, events unfold throughout the 17th–18th centuries and offer players a campaign based on historical battles of that time. In addition to the story mode, there are ready-made scenarios and original sets of instructions for creating your own battles. Random battles are also manually configured and offer a choice of victory conditions, alliances between user teams and Artificial Intelligence, the amount of starting resources and features of the generated landscape.

The gameplay is a classic example of the RTS genre. Users have access to initial resources, several workers and a city center. Next, they begin to collect materials for the construction of barracks, stables, farms and other things, and they are also needed to move the nation to the next stage of development. At the same time, it is advisable to provide yourself with protection in the form of walls, gates and towers, which, in addition to their direct purpose, serve as an indicator of the presence of enemies near the settlement. In campaigns, this process is often skipped and gamers are provided with an army ready for battle, with the help of which they need to cope with the task set by the command.
