Counter-STRIKE 2D Gameplay is almost no different from the three -dimensional version. The main difference is that the first -person camera was replaced by a view of the top. Title is focused on the confrontation of terrorists and counter-terrorists. Units are marked with different colors: the first is painted in red, the second in blue.

The purpose of the CS2D levels is also unchanged: the user has to destroy the enemy’s team and at the same time save his own life. For each victory in the 2D counter-strip, the protagonist receives a certain number of coins. At them in a local store you can buy cartridges, weapons, equipment and auxiliary objects like night vision devices. Misses here are divided into several types.

The user can be entrusted to kill or protect a famous person. Tasks for the release or capture of hostages, neutralizing or installing a bomb, as well as levels with pursuit are still available. In addition, new modes and modifications appeared in the two -dimensional version. One of these innovations was the episode with the protection of the flag.

Gamers also have to save civilians from zombies and fight in the arena in fights to death. Each mission is indicated by the corresponding code of several letters. Despite the simplified type of title, the complexity of the levels did not decrease. To win the battle, the gamer will have to think through tactics and strategy, given the obstacles like the “fog of war” and a limited radius of the review.
