Criminal Archives: City on Fire – a Western-made visual novel in which the player plays the role of a crime reporter from San Francisco. The city of the Golden Gate is overwhelmed by terrible crimes – an unknown criminal sets fires, mercilessly turning entire buildings to ashes. And it is impossible to find the murderer in the usual way because he wears a plague doctor costume. However, the main character is not used to giving in to difficulties and intends to bring the villain to justice at any cost.

In addition to the story campaign, the game has additional modes:

• The bonus chapter Criminal Archives: City on Fire tells the story of a greedy moneylender. He entangled a small town in his nets, putting the rest of the inhabitants on the brink of ruin. But there was a hero who was able to save his fellow tribesmen – the user will play for him.
• There is also a mode that allows you to freely play through your favorite puzzles and mini-games. Thus, the gamer can easily hone his skills in solving logical problems.

To pass all locations, the protagonist must look for clues. They are hidden among ordinary objects, which encourages you to keep your ears open during the search. But if the user thinks that the task is too difficult, then you can use a special walkthrough. The gamer can also find additional objects to learn the history of San Francisco.
