CrossCode – a two-dimensional adventure in retro style. The gameplay combines a fast-paced combat system with extensive puzzle mechanics. The story begins with Shizuka facing problems and trying to help his brother. As soon as she gets to him, he dies in her arms. After a while, the girl Lea awakens on a cargo ship, remembering nothing about herself or her past.

Sergei Azimov informs the awakened girls that she will have to play CrossWorlds, where she will be able to restore her own memory. After a while, the girl is attacked by a mysterious man named Blue Avatar. Because of this, she forces herself to escape into a fantasy world. Once she enters the playing area, she encounters a contestant named Emily. Together they begin to explore a new reality that will help them cope with difficulties in the real world.

Gameplay features a vast world to explore with 7 original areas and mysterious locations throughout. Along the way, gamers will have to fight 120 types of opponents and take part in 30 battles with powerful bosses who have their own strengths and weaknesses. You will need to complete 100+ quests to learn about the plot and history of the fictional universe. The dungeons are home to dangerous enemies and hidden precious items.
