Cultures: The Discovery of Vinland – a classic economic strategy in which the user can manage the resources of a settlement. However, the game does not take place in our days, but in the distant past – during the early Middle Ages. And the gamer's wards will be the formidable Vikings. Although they are known mainly as formidable and fearless warriors, the Scandinavians also traveled a lot, founded many colonies and traded with their neighbors. The plot of the project is focused on a group of northern settlers. The main character of Cultures: The Discovery of Vinland is a young man named Bjarni – a very young Viking who goes to sea for the first time on par with adult men. The previous winter was too harsh, depriving the people of all supplies, so they are forced to set off on a journey in search of a more fertile home. Not without the help of friendly Eskimos, the Scandinavians leave Greenland and eventually find a new island full of greenery and animals.

In addition to searching for a home, the Vikings want to collect meteorite fragments that have mystical powers. But a well-developed infrastructure is required for successful completion. For example, smooth and strong roads make travel and trade easier. Mastering new crafts, such as metallurgy, allows the settlers to independently provide themselves with the necessary materials. And chests filled with gold guarantee that the gamer will be able to buy any upgrade.
