Cutthroat Cove takes the player to Cutthroat Bay, where they have to rob and steal, following the criminal path. The pirate thriller features a vast world open to exploration. The main character will complete tasks, craft equipment, fight with residents and bandits, and study information to reveal all the secrets of the Old World.

The user is able to recruit additional characters to his squad. Sometimes they will betray or steal. Because of this, the protagonist will need to arrange his own home, where he can store found treasures, money or rare things. The vast areas of Cutthroat Bay are filled with materials in the form of rocks, wood, sand and minerals. Resources allow you to build structures and create items.

Many items of equipment can be crafted with your own hands, defining their parameters and additional functions. NPCs don't mind haggling or bartering. Local merchants sell hard-to-find resources for local currency or for completing quests. The campaign supports online or local network co-op. The gamer can follow story quests, gradually unraveling the mysteries of the Old World, or complete secondary missions, participating in battles and traveling around the world.
