Daikatana – A shooter with a first -person view, on which one of the founders of this genre, a programmer named John Romero, worked. The game has both single -user modes and multiplayers, they all became possible thanks to the use of the engine from the cult series of Quake, which is famous for the dynamic action online. For this project, it was repeatedly rewritten and finalized, but the graphic component remained at the mediocre level even relative to the year of exit.

The plot campaign consists of 4 episodes, a total of 24 levels are represented in Japan of the future, in ancient Greece, San Francisco and Norway. Different time frames are implemented thanks to teleportation using a powerful artifact that changes space. The main antagonist of history is Kage Mishima. He received the power of Diketana and changed the spatio-temporal continuum, which entailed numerous disasters.

The main task of the gamer at each stages is to eliminate all enemies in the district for the sake of access to further adventures of a protagonist named Hiro Miyamoto, who devoted his life to teaching other people the art of owning a sword. Sometimes, the player gets the opportunity to manage Johnson Superflui and Mikiko Ebihara. Also, during the gameplay, it is necessary to monitor many allies, because in the event of their death, the level will have to start again. Spatial puzzles slow down the pace, giving time to rest and collect cartridges for guns. In total, 25 firearms of different calibers and several types of cold weapons are available in Diketan.
