Story Darkspore begins with the Krogenite race conducting experiments in genetic engineering. The goal is to create an army of modified creatures. Suddenly the experiments get out of control. The creatures begin to act independently and destroy the capital of their owners. They are not going to stop there. The leaders preach a new mission. It consists in the destruction of all civilizations in the vastness of the Galaxy. The main character of the action is one of the surviving krogenites. He travels to inhabited planets in search of warriors. The created squad must destroy the threat.

The Darkspore modification is a continuation and addition to the original Spore game. The user controls the character's actions. First of all, you need to gather a group of like-minded people. The squad must consist of no more than three participants. Allies can be Plasma, Quantum, Necro and others. The action is to eliminate opponents. They are present in every location and are not going to give up. In case of victory, genetic material is obtained. This is a kind of bonus and currency of the universe. It is used to purchase abilities and equipment. During the passage you will be able to visit six different planets – Nocturna, Verdant, Zelem's Core, Krios, Eternity, Skaldron. A boss awaits in every world. As a result, you have to defeat the Destroyer, who is the cause of the events that took place.
