Addendum to Dead by Daylight – Leatherface adds a new maniac to the game, Cannibal, aka Leatherface and Bubba Sawyer. He is an iconic character in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise and one of the first serial killers in the slasher genre. After the events of the original film, the cannibal killer found himself in another dimension. A mysterious otherworldly Entity, collecting villains and monsters from different times and countries, decided to turn its attention to Bubba, giving him the opportunity to hunt other captives without restrictions.

Unlike other DLC, Dead by Daylight – Leatherface does not have new Survivors and locations. Sawyer is a unique character due to several characteristics, and requires special tactics to play as him effectively. When he sacrifices a person by hanging him on a hook, the auras of the remaining heroes become visible to the maniac for 4 seconds. Leatherface's attacks cause Survivors to drop items and if they do not pick up their casualties within seconds, they will die. The Cannibal can also attack a target so that it cannot call for help and its aura is not visible to players.

Thanks to the chainsaw, the Cannibal is able to destroy some obstacles, and having accumulated a sufficient charge of power, he can swing the weapon, injuring everyone around him. Thanks to this, a skilled gamer can complete the hunt in a matter of time. But Sawyer's weapon has significant drawbacks. The saw requires recharging and at this moment the Killer moves slower than usual. And if he encounters too large an obstacle, this will give the victims a head start to escape.
