Dead End Road – an indie game that combines roguelike mechanics with a classic horror atmosphere. It is stylized as retro and has pixel graphics, like classic video game horrors of the 90s. Here, the protagonist is a man who learned from an old witch a ritual to summon a supernatural entity that can fulfill a wish. But when the hero performed the necessary ritual, instead of the desired result, something appeared. A monstrous spawn from the depths of the underworld, so alien that you can go crazy from the mere presence of this creature.

In horror, the protagonist rushes to the old sorceress for help – but she lives very far away. The only way to get to her relatively quickly is to get behind the wheel. This risky trip is the focus of most of the gameplay of Dead End Road. The road is full of obstacles – mainly due to the demon sending hallucinations and other misfortunes to the summoner. Because of this, it is very easy to get distracted and get into an accident, after which the passage will have to be restarted.

But even without the hellish creature, the road will be dangerous. It's the dead of night outside, and the main character is racing at full speed. Because of this, you have to constantly monitor the surroundings – if the gamer flies into a tree or the hood of another car, he will also lose. In addition, gasoline is not endless, and the failed demonologist has very little money. In order not to get stuck in the wilderness, he will have to take hitchhikers, among whom there may be both demon servants and honest guys.
