Dead Island – a horror adventure, the events of which unfold in 2006 on the non-existent island of Banoi. The passage begins with a short prologue, in which the main character, having fun at a party, sees strange events and aggression from people, and then loses consciousness due to alcohol intoxication. He wakes up in his room, but the surroundings do not look welcoming. Screams and frightening sounds can be heard. As soon as the hero leaves the room, he is faced with corpses and spilled blood, and as he walks onto the balcony, he sees a man falling from the roof.

The protagonist gets to the elevator in a shocked state, where an unknown dispatcher contacts him and tells him where to go. As soon as the doors open, zombies attack the character and bite him. After a while, he wakes up in a beach house, where several people are present. Doc says that the hero is immune to the virus, since the bite did not turn him into a monster.

The player chooses 1 of 4 characters with different characteristics and skills. The user has several main goals. You will need to move around the island, look for other survivors and help them. On the way, the ward will stumble upon useful items and materials: food, money, water, weapons and ammunition. Monsters have captured most of the territories, so battles await gamers around every corner. Dead Island features a variety of side quests, hidden equipment, and boss encounters.

Co-op mode allows 4 participants to go through the story campaign together. As the user completes quests and explores the environment, he discovers new parts of the location and receives modified weapons. Once the protagonist gets to the military base, he will be able to craft better weapons. Items are improved at the workbench or in the inventory. For killing enemies and completing missions, the ward receives experience and increases the level. The extensive leveling tree includes 3 branches: rage, combat skills and survival.
