Death Mark is a grotesque detective story in which the main character, Kazuo Yashiki, must unravel the mystery of a birthmark that brings death in just one night. The action moves to Tokyo, where suddenly a number of people have large birthmarks on their arms in the morning. After just 24 hours, carriers of such a mark die. Kazuo, having received the mark, learns that such a mark is left by powerful ghosts – this is how they choose who to kill next. The protagonist is not going to die and goes to the old mansion, where, according to rumors, it all began.

The Death Mark novel does not force you to strictly follow the storyline, but instead gives you quite a lot of freedom of action. A man is obliged to independently think of the actions that need to be taken in order to complete the story in a positive way for Kazuo. There are dozens of scenarios for the development of further events, and therefore it is impossible to predict what will happen next. The ending can be fatal for the protagonist and end in death, or the player will try to find all the clues and allow him to stay alive.

Success directly depends on the fact how deeply the story is revealed. You can achieve a high level of disclosure only by carefully exploring each location and studying in detail all the clues found. From time to time, opponents will appear on the horizon of Yasika – powerful ghosts. It will not be possible to calm them down with a word, but you will have to take up the sword. Battles also take place in text mode, where the player can choose how to attack the enemy.
