The main character Destroy All Humans! – Clone Carnage is an alien named Crypto. Several years ago, his friends' starship came under fire and went missing on planet Earth. Now the main task of the character is to take revenge on all of humanity for the death of his friends. The user takes control of a representative of an extraterrestrial civilization. In this case, the struggle between people and aliens is shown from a different angle. After all, the player needs to destroy the human race. There is also a task to make slaves out of some individuals, and conduct experiments on others. To move around the territory, a personal ship and a jetpack are used. The arsenal includes a classic blaster. In addition, exotic types of weapons have been added – an emitter that acts on the psyche, magnetic and gravity guns. The character's abilities, transport and weapons can be improved and modified during the passage.

The action of Destroy All Humans! – Clone Carnage primarily consists of single tasks that are put together in a company. After its completion, you can try your hand at several additional modes. The player will have to test his abilities in the Race, Abduction, Rampage, Armageddon. In addition, here you can play with your friends and other participants thanks to the presence of a multiplayer mode. In this case, no more than four people can participate in one mission. You can also play together at the same time on one computer. There is a split screen function.
