It introduced an additional mode called Legendary Dark Knight Mode. It is designed for fans of hardcore gameplay. There are 5 playable characters available in the Special Edition re-release:

• Vergil is the father of one protagonist, and the twin brother of the second, suitable for both casual and experienced players;
• Lady – prefers to attack enemies from afar using a grenade launcher and other arsenal;
