Dieselpunk Wars combines several genres. This is a vehicle collection simulator, a car action game and a sandbox with a third-person view. The world consists of swamps, deserts, mountains and other biomes. As you progress, additional locations open up. In the game you can create floating, land and water vehicles. For example: amphibians, airships, ships, tanks, destroyers, fighters, transporters. You can customize and repaint your devices. New crafting components are given as a reward for completing tasks. In addition to the story campaign, the video game has a creative mode and individual arena battles. There is also support for custom creations. The product is single-player oriented, so all battles in it take place only with the participation of bots.

Dieselpunk Wars has a car designer. This editor allows you to assemble vehicles from 300 different parts. Each element affects the vehicle's performance and handling. You can install engines, energy systems, weapons, armor, wheels. All these blocks are connected to the core. If it receives critical damage, the entire structure will collapse. The arsenal includes torpedo tubes, machine guns, artillery, rocket launchers, harpoons, bombs, and depth charges. Each gun is considered a separate object for which the engine processes physics.
