There are two main modes here – a campaign with different storylines and victory conditions, and a sandbox. There are 7 factions to choose from. They all differ in gameplay. In addition to them, the world is inhabited by traders, pirates, monsters, residents of other empires and independent colonies. In the video game, you can build and develop states, extract resources, engage in research, and solve problems with other nations diplomatically or with the help of military force. The automation system allows you to delegate powers to advisors, which are controlled by artificial intelligence. You can give the computer almost all aspects of the gameplay and focus on controlling one ship, or you can personally control many processes and engage in micromanagement.
