Events Divine Divinity. Birth of a legend take place in the fictional world of Rivellon. The continent is inhabited by 6 races: orcs, lizards, humans, elves, gnomes and demons. Mages are the seventh faction, which is not a race, but has great influence on the whole world. At the start, the player learns about a powerful demon who rules chaos. Thanks to the sorcerers who betrayed the peaceful planet, the monster found its way into the human world. Reincarnating as a human, he managed to summon most of the demonic army and wreak havoc in the kingdoms.

Seven parties united among themselves and created the Council. Thanks to their joint efforts, the inhabitants of Rivellon were able to defeat the Ruler of Chaos. The second leader of the Damned created the Blade of Lies. After the war, the artifact fell into the hands of people. This allowed the demon to be reborn from the human soul. The user finds himself in a time when more than 600 years have passed since the war, and the blade has become a legend and fairy tales. Before passing, you will have to customize the main character by choosing his gender and class (mage, warrior and thief). The purpose of the mentee will affect his starting skills.

By killing enemies and completing tasks, the character earns experience and upgrades characteristics: agility, physique, strength and intelligence. Many things require a certain amount of attribute points. Mage sets require increased intelligence, warrior sets require strength and constitution, and agility requires agility. The enchanting system allows you to improve items using enchantments and found magic gems. If you put a gem in your equipment, it cannot be taken out again. Alchemy skills help you create potions that instantly heal wounds, grant strength, attack enemies, or increase speed.
